You don't have to be well to live well

Coaching to help you make your own path to a life you enjoy again, even with your symptoms

  • Stop putting your life on hold

If you're waiting for a cure in order to restart you life,

your life could be on hold forever,

and you deserve so much more than that.

  • Even if your condition doesn't ever get better, you can still be committed to your goals, take charge of your life, and feel like you again.

I know right now it feels like...

    • you’re constantly letting people down
    • you're a burden to others
    • you never get the support you really need from your doctor, boss, colleagues, or even your family
    • there's no hope you might ever have a more fulfilling life

...but it doesn't have to be that way!

  • Hi. I'm Elinor.

I’ve lived with multiple chronic illnesses for most of my life. Before I was diagnosed, I blamed myself for my constant collapses in energy, brain fog, weird muscle pains, inability to ‘live up to my potential’, and my lack of success with career, money and relationships. My self esteem was very low, and even though I kept on trying, I often felt hopeless, useless and frustrated.

The peer support groups I eventually found were good for venting about symptoms, doctors, and the pain of living life with chronic illnesses, but when I turned in a positive direction and decided I had things I wanted to do with my life, there was no space for talking about that, or advice for getting the support I needed.

I had to work out how to live a life with chronic illnesses, in a way that allowed me to make my unique contribution to the world, all by myself.

I founded We Make The Path so you don't have to do it all by yourself.

I believe you can have a life you enjoy again, without ignoring your symptoms,

giving in to others' unrealistic expectations, or waiting for doctors to find a cure.

Here's how I can support you

    Flourish Programme

The Flourish group programme is for chronically ill people who are currently in work, but who need to find a different way to make an income.

Do any of these sound like you?

    • Your boss gets frustrated with you for needing to pace yourself or take breaks.
    • Your colleagues don't believe you're really ill.
    • You have no energy for socialising or family.
    • You need to reduce your hours, or take a complete break from work, but you're worried about losing income.
    • You're anxious that you might lose your job because of how your symptoms are affecting your work.

Through self-paced content and regular group coaching support, the Flourish programme will support you to:

    • feel empowered to advocate for yourself with bosses, colleagues and family members
    • make a flexible and creative plan to meet your material needs
    • take decisions and act to change your situation with confidence

Click here for details of how to join the beta test of the programme.

    One to One Sessions

One to one sessions with Elinor are a space for you to receive compassionate, personalised support with unpacking and finding new approaches to whatever challenges and struggles you are facing in your life with chronic illness.

Some of the issues we might look at together include:

    • addressing any stigma, shame, and negative self-beliefs you have around your illness or condition
    • relating in a new, more compassionate way to your body and mind
    • adjusting to the unpredictability of your symptoms, without feeling like you’ve let your illness ‘win’
    • understanding better when you can push your limits and when you need to stop
    • finding ways to ask for and receive help without feeling like a burden
    • clarifying what kind of balance you want in your life, and how you want to move towards that
    • plan your life in a flexible way, that prioritises your well-being and takes account of your limits

Elinor sadly doesn't currently have any spots available for one to one work, but you can join the wait list, and we'll let you know when spots become available. Email us to be added.
